Our DT curriculum gives pupils the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination to make products and solve relevant problems in context. We want our children to be risk takers; innovative and resourceful.
Throughout the school, pupils engage in a range of design projects, including food technology, electrical systems, structures, mechanisms and textiles. Throughout each unit, they develop the technical and practical skills needed to design and make high quality products. We ensure that children can access the learning where they have strength, even if there is an additional need. For pupils with physical development challenges, we have a range of resources available, for example, a selection of needle sizes for our work on textiles.
